A Sisterly Bond that
Can Never Be Broken
Founded by Vickie Edwards, WeCare Industries was born out of a deep love and appreciation for her sister, Danell, who is developmentally disabled.
As Danell’s primary caregiver and fiercest advocate, Vickie became acutely aware of the disparities and challenges faced by adults with developmental disabilities. The lack of empathy and understanding she witnessed toward the Disabled community sparked her mission.
Vickie originally launched WeCare Industries as a platform to address these gaps in support and services. The organization began by offering specialized mobile salon services as a way of enhancing pride and self-esteem to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
WeCare has since transformed its mission to create social events that inspire a sense of fun, provide an emotionally safe environment, and affirm the dignity of all the people they serve. The WeCare team firmly believes that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, and works tirelessly to cultivate an environment of love and compassion for all.
